About Rem Valatka
Rem Valatka is an aspiring filmmaker who grew up with the support of RAW Art Works in Lynn, MA and their film school program. Through RAW, they have made multiple short films, some of which played at film festivals such as the Salem Film Festival.
After receiving their high school diploma from Salem Academy Charter School, they started studying filmmaking at Champlain College as part of the class of 2026. During that time, they have become experienced in film equipment maintenance as a Senior Technician at the Champlain College Rental House and branched out into studying cinematography.
The most notable work Rem has done as a Director of Photography is “Mise En Sex,” a short film created by Dan Solari which is now available for streaming on YouTube and sits at nearly 300k views as of 11/19/24. More recently, have given directing a shot and are currently working on finishing their short horror film, “TO BE BEAUTIFUL.”
